DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, ONE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT (MARCH 7)

What to Expect

This is a mindful, very moderately paced walk that will cover minimal distance. We will gather in circle a number of times during the walk to share with each other what we’re noticing about our experience. The walk includes a tea ceremony and snack.

During this guided walk, Patti our guide will offer you a series of “invitations” to help you connect deeply. Patti merely holds the space for the deepening and connection to happen. The forest is the therapist, and Patti is the guide.

To Celebrate International Women's Day

We are accepting donations for participation in this event on behalf of the Empower Me Fund at Shameless Circle. This event is valued at $35; we recommend a donation of $35 upon registration.

The Shameless Circle is a volunteer led healing circle for women aimed to end stigma around shaming women for standing up for themselves and their children. The Shameless Circle is committed to helping women overcome barriers to get the help they need to empower themselves.

The Empower Me Fund works as a one-time step up tool, through which women can apply for financial support towards something specific that would not otherwise be covered by another organization or agency. Rather than providing a handout, the Shameless Circle believes in providing a hand up.

Why Walk with a Trained Forest Therapy Guide?

Everyone can walk in nature by themselves, however, just like many people choose to participate in a yoga or meditation class with a certified instructor, there are many benefits to doing forest therapy with a trained guide.

When walking with a certified forest therapy guide, it helps you to slow down and be in the present moment, something that many people find challenging on their own. The practice of forest therapy also has an intentional flow and sequence that helps to facilitate the quietening and softening of the mind and deepen your connection with the natural world.

Arrival Time: Arrive by 1 PM. The activity will begin at 1:30 PM.

Location: Bunn's Creek Centennial Park

Duration: Approximately two hours

Difficulty: Beginner-friendly. Pace will be very moderate. Event will be held rain or shine unless deemed unsafe. Rain and wind provide unique opportunities to connect with nature.

Please leave dogs at home.

Further details will be provided to registered participants. Participants are responsible for having a valid e-mail address, communicating with the event organizer regarding any changes in attendance, and for checking e-mail prior to an event.

This event allows cancellation no less than 2 days before start of event. If you are no longer able to attend, please see our No Show Policy.
