DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (MAY 21)

We are proceeding (very cautiously!) with certain events going forward. In order to make this work, we will be allowing a very small number of participants at each event. We will need your cooperation in only signing up for events you can truly commit to attending. If you miss out on registering please get yourself registered on the waitlist. We also ask for everyone's cooperation and patience as we all adjust! Please see our policy and safety practices here.

The Amisk and Inverness Falls Trail travels through boreal forest, rocky landscape, and has scenic views along the way. Join us for this wonderful hike in the Whiteshell!

We will hike this trail rain or shine, unless deemed unsafe.

Event leaders: Brittany Thiessen and Christina Hiebert. Click for more information

Arrival Time: By 9:30 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 10:00 AM so please arrive on time. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leaders to share information with the group.

LocationWe will meet at the Amisk trailhead (park pass is required).

All restrooms in the park are currently closed to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please be sure to follow the principles of Leave No Trace.

Overall Difficulty Rating: due to the factors mentioned below, this activity is rated a 2/5.

Duration/Distance: Approximately 6 km. We will stop for breaks and approximately half an hour for lunch.

Experience: You should have the ability to walk with the group at a steady pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate outerwear and layers.

Terrain: The trail includes ups and downs along rock that can be slippery when wet, tree roots, and possible sections covered with water and mud.

Pace: Slow to moderate at a steady pace with opportunities to stop for photos.

Please leave dogs at home.

Further details will be provided to registered participants. Participants are responsible for having a valid e-mail address, communicating with the event organizer regarding any changes in attendance, and for checking e-mail prior to an event.

This event allows cancellation no less than 5 days before start of event. If you are no longer able to attend, please see our No Show Policy.
