McGillivaray Falls is a looped trail featuring beautiful views, waterfalls and a peaceful lake along the way.

There is an option for a long and short loop and we will hike the 4.6 km long loop, which leads to McGillivaray Lake. The trail is located a short ways north of Caddy Lake in the central area of the Whiteshell. The trail follows through forest, across rocky areas and along the shoreline of the lake. There are some overgrown sections of forest to navigate, some ups and downs, and a couple of steeper but short climbs. We will stop for lunch at the shelter along McGillivaray Lake to enjoy the scenic views.

We will hike this trail rain or shine, unless deemed unsafe.

Event leaders: Brittany Thiessen and Ashley Moore. Click for more information

Arrival Time: by 9:30 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 10:00 AM. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leaders to share information with the group.

Location: We will meet in the parking lot at the trailhead of McGillivaray Falls. See the Google Maps location here
