Join Backcountry Women on our Warrior Women Halloween Hunt Lake Trail Hike.

Think Manitoba is flat!? This trail proves it isn't. Join us on Hunt Lake if you're up for a real challenge!

The Hunt Lake trail is one of the most challenging in Manitoba which travels along Hunt Lake, then crosses over to West Hawk Lake. The hike brings you along the lake and climbs high ridges overlooking the lake. This is a strenuous hike with lots of steep ups and downs, and lots of roots and rocks and trees to go over or under.

This trail is generally suitable to hike in the cold weather, but we may cancel the hike if it is forecasted to rain or snow. There will be a mandatory gear list sent with the registration confirmation email. Please read it after you register. (If you show up without this gear you will not be permitted to participate). Reach out to Kerry if you have any questions.

Event leaders: Kerry St George  Click the link for more information!

Arrival Time: by 9:00 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 9:30 AM. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leaders to share information with the group. This trail can be busy and we aim to start before it gets too crowded.

LocationWe will meet at the Hunt Lake Trail Head (park pass is required). Note: Google Maps will take you to the wrong location - we will send more information to registered participants with specific directions.

Backcountry Women acknowledges that this hike will take place on Treaty 3 Territory
