DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (OCTOBER 29)

PLEASE READ THE REQUIREMENTS AND ALL DETAILS BELOW PRIOR TO REGISTRATION

October 31 is our Full Moon Hiking Series kickoff! It is extra special because it is Halloween and a Blue Moon. A Blue Moon is the phenomenon of two full moons in a single calendar month.

The Full Moon Hiking Series will bring us together in the safety of a group for a unique night-hiking experience each month from October to March. We will stop periodically to gaze at the full moon (howling optional) and take in the stillness of the season.

It is mandatory that everyone carry their own light source whether a head lamp or flashlight. Cell phone flashlights are acceptable but please note that cold can cause cell phone batteries to fail.

Event leader: Ashley Moore Click for more information!

Arrival Time: By 6:15 PM. We will begin the hike no later than 6:30 PM. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leaders to share information with the group.

Location: Nimowin Trail in Bird's Hill Provincial Park

Backcountry Women acknowledges that this hike will take place on Treaty 1 Territory

Halloween: Costumes can be worn as long as they do not affect your ability to see and move safely through the woods at night.
