Regarding Covid-19: Due to the numbers placed on gathering restrictions, we need your cooperation in only signing up for events that you can truly commit to attending.
Masks are mandatory when gathering at the beginning and end of our events. Additionally, we strongly recommend masks be worn during the activity (but are not required as long as physical distance is being maintained) - if group members are closer than 6 feet apart they MUST wear a mask covering their mouth and nose. Join us for a Backcountry Women "Adventure Women" hike on the Cabin Lake Trail, which follows through the rocky terrain typical of the Canadian Shield, passing over a little red bridge and ending at the peaceful shoreline of Cabin Lake.

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:00 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 9:30 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group.
Location: Cabin Lake Trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park. Drivers must have a valid Manitoba Parks pass visible on the dash or window of their vehicle. They must be purchased online.
Backcountry Women acknowledges that this hike will take place on Treaty 3 Territory.

Duration/Distance: The trail covers a total of 6 km round trip.
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.
Terrain: Rocky terrain, forests, boggy sections. There are some ups and downs.
Pace: Moderate with a break for lunch at the lake and additional stops for water as needed.
Please keep dogs at home.
