Regarding COVID-19: Due to the numbers placed on gathering restrictions, we need your cooperation in only signing up for events that you can truly commit to attending. 

Masks are mandatory when gathering at the beginning and end of our events. Backcountry Women's Starlight Snowshoe is all about getting outdoors on weeknights to enjoy the silence and beauty of winter. Snowshoeing is also a great way to socialize with other like-minded individuals, explore urban parks in and around Winnipeg and incorporate some fun activity into your day!

It is the responsibility of the participant to bring their own snowshoes. If you do not have a pair of your own, we encourage you to rent a pair or borrow from a friend.

Event Leader: Ashley Moore and Maggie Wen.

Arrival Time: by 6:30 PM. We will begin the activity no later than 6:45 PM. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leader to share information with the group. 

Location: Kildonan Park. Exact location will be emailed to registered participants.

Duration/Distance: Approximately 1.5 hours depending on the chosen route. Actual distance will vary.
Experience: All skill levels welcome. You should have the ability to walk with the group (while physically distancing) at a moderate, steady pace for the duration of the activity. Appropriate footwear, gear and layered clothing is required.
Terrain: Relatively flat with varying snow amounts; may include some deep and some packed snow.

Pace: This activity will be at a steady, moderate pace.

Please leave dogs at home.
