DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (MARCH 17)

Join us for a Backcountry Women Full Moon night hike! This will be our last Full Moon event of the season!

This hike is a unique night-hiking experience where we will stop periodically to gaze at the full moon (howling optional) and take in the stillness of the season.

March's Full Moon goes by the name Full Worm Moon, named so as it originally was thought to refer to the earthworms that appear as the soil warms in spring. This invites robins and other birds to feed—a true sign of spring!

Our Full Moon Hikes require that everyone carry their own light source, whether a head lamp or flashlight (mandatory).

Event Leader: Chelsea Owasi. Click for more information

Arrival Time: by 6:30pm. We will begin the hike no later than 6:45 PM. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leader to share information with the group.

Location: Cedar Bog Trail in Birds Hill Provincial Park. A valid Provincial Park pass is required.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the ancestral lands of the Ininiw, Anishinaabe, and Dakota Nations, and the homeland of the Metis Nation.  Our organization, Backcountry Women, is based on Treaty No. 1 Territory, and we appreciate that this event takes place on
Treaty No 1. Territory.
