Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike on McGillivray Falls Self-guiding Trail plus additional exploration on Centennial Trail (spur off McGillivray Falls.) McGillivray Falls is a Whiteshell gem and a beautiful trail year round. 

Event Leaders: Christina Hiebert Click for more information! If you are ready to take your experience up a notch from sticking to trails around Winnipeg, this is your opportunity to join a leader who loves to empower women to safely step out of their comfort zones and try new experiences. 

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:30 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 10:00 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group. 

Location: McGillivray Falls Trailhead. A valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Overall Difficulty Rating: due to the factors mentioned below, this activity is rated a 3/5. This rating is subject to change based on prevailing conditions at the time of the activity, including but not limited to weather.

Duration/Distance: 6-7 KM (McGillivray Falls = 4.3 KM) plus added distance on Centennial Trail
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.

Terrain: Steep rocks with a fair bit of up and down (slippery when wet), thick and boggy forest with mud (expect wet feet if there has been recent rain, and open rock faces. 

Pace: Slow to moderate with a break for a lunch and additional stops for water as needed. 

Please keep dogs at home.
