Backcountry Women's Starlight Snowshoe is all about getting outdoors on weeknights to enjoy the silence and beauty of winter. Snowshoeing is also a great way to socialize with other like-minded individuals, explore urban parks in and around Winnipeg and incorporate some fun activity into your day!

It is the responsibility of the participant to bring their own snowshoes. If you do not have a pair of your own, we encourage you to rent a pair or borrow from a friend.

Event Leaders: Brittany Thiessen (she/her) and Michelle Ip (she/her)

Arrival Time: by 6:00PM . We will begin the activity no later than 6:15 PM. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leader to share information with the group. 

Location: We will snowshoe on the Seine River (near the Bois des Esprit Trail). Exact location will be emailed to registered participants.

Activity Category: Starlight Snowshoe Series (special series)
Duration/Distance: Approximately 1.5 hours or 4 km. 
Experience: All skill levels welcome. You should have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate, steady pace for the duration of the activity. Appropriate footwear, gear and layered clothing is required. Please bring a headlamp or flashlight.
Terrain: Flat with varying snow amounts; may include some deep and some packed snow.

Pace: This activity will be at a steady, moderate pace.

Please leave dogs at home.
