DEADLINE TO REGISTER: BY MIDNIGHT, TWO DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT (FEB 24)

Backcountry Women's Starlight Snowshoe is all about getting outdoors on weeknights to enjoy the silence and beauty of winter. Snowshoeing is also a great way to socialize with other like-minded individuals, explore urban parks in and around Winnipeg and incorporate some fun activity into your day! For this specific event, we will end the trail with a nice brewski/non-alcoholic drinks and small bites at Kilter's Brewing Co. Taproom. Great opportunity for you to get outside during the winter, and enjoy exploring the river trail on snowshoes right in the middle of the city! Warm yourself up, and get to know your fellow Backcountry Women members/adventurers.

It is the responsibility of the participant to bring their own (owned, rented, borrowed) snowshoes. We have a couple spare pairs - if you'd like to participate and don't have snowshoes, reach out prior to registration! These will be first come first served.

If you wish to carpool to this event, please see details under the carpools section below.

Event Leader: Maggie Wen

Arrival Time: by 6:15PM. We will begin the activity no later than 6:30 PM. The time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leader to share information with the group.

Location: Seine River Trail in Central St. Boniface. Exact meeting location will be emailed to registered participants.

A quaint river trail in the heart of the city! Much more quiet compared to other river trails in the city which will allow us to enjoy the space mostly to ourselves.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the ancestral lands of the Ininiw, Anishinaabe, and Dakota Nations, and the homeland of the Metis Nation.  Our organization, Backcountry Women, is based on Treaty No. 1 Territory, and we appreciate that this event takes place on
