We're offering a dog friendly edition of an Adventure Women hike - please read full details! Join us to embark on a scenic Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike to McGillivray Falls in Whiteshell Provincial Park. This trail offers a moderate level of exertion and terrain challenges. During this trip, we will take in the beauty of a rocky Canadian Shield amidst a spring landscape! This hike is dog friendly; canine friends must be well behaved, on non-retractable leash at all times, and have previous experience hiking. NOTE: you don’t need to bring a dog to participate, so if you enjoy the company of dogs on the trail we welcome you to participate.

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:30 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 10:00 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share IMPORTANT information with the group. 

Location: McGillivray Falls Trail. Exact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. A valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Duration/Distance: 4.3 KM
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some spring hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.
REGARDING DOGS: 

All participants will follow a No Greet Policy. This means that dogs will not interact with other dogs or humans without permission. We will also utilize the Red Bandana Program that is successful at a variety of dog events. Please look for further details to be sent out prior to the event in an event reminder email. If you have any questions / concerns, please reach out.

Terrain: Expect some up and down on the trail. Variable terrain with rocks and increased bush in some areas. We recommend hiking poles / other traction aids.

Pace: Moderate with a break for a lunch and additional stops for water as needed.
